Cestra league campaign

We played the second game of the popular Bill Moules Cestra League on Wednesday. Things didn't start to well with one rink dropping a six on their second end. In fact that proved too much for them to recover from and they eventually finished with a minus shot difference of seven.

The other two rinks faired much better. One finishing plus 5 shots, and the other finished plus seventeen shots. This seventeen shot difference was helped in no small part by them picking up a hot shot nine on the ninth end, an event not very often seen in the League. However that jubilation was dented on the next end when one of that triple bowled a wrong bias. He made various excuses for doing this. Such as I have no stickers on my bowls and I was trying to make sure the Skip was paying attention. He shall remain nameless. However I'm sure the Fines Master will take note and capture him at the earliest fund raising event.

In the end it was a good result with us getting 4 points and a shot difference of plus 15.

Next Cestra game is on Tuesday 18th May.
