We held our second Fun Day of the season on Sunday 14th August. The weather was extremely kind, although pretty hot at times.
The support was fantastic with 38 club members attending. As with all Fun Days over recent years, the money raised goes towards our Centenary Fund ready for our Centenary celebrations next year. After payment of prizes, and including our "Fun Day Fines" and raffle, we raised the princely sum of £380.50. A magnificent effort all round.
In addition, through the generosity of all attending, we raised £52.50 for charity. The charity selected was McMillans, chosen by David Shepherd, our top shot on the day.
Many thanks to everyone involved in arranging the day and setting things up. Also Marie for her cakes, Carol for sourcing our raffle prizes, Ivor for running the bar and John, our Finesmaster for a hilarious end to the day.
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves, which of course was one of the main objectives of the day. It was a great FUN DAY.
