This year's men's bowls tour took place in fine sunny weather over the weekend of 15th - 17th August and we visited Herefordshire.
24 bowlers took part, many of whom have been touring with us for years and some on their first tour.
We travelled by luxury coach, some players enjoying a traditional game of cards during the journey, and we stopped for a good breakfast on the way. Our base for the weekend was a Premier Inn in Hereford City.
On the Friday we played a game against Eastnor Bowls Club. On Saturday we played at Weobley & District Bowls Club in the morning and at Hereford Bowls Club in the afternoon (said to be the oldest bowls club in the country!).
On the Sunday we played at Ross-on-Wye Bowls Club before our journey home. All the venues we visited were set in very picturesque locations and we were made very welcome at every club - many of our players taking full advantage of the local ciders on offer.
The results were mixed, but all our games were played in a very friendly and enjoyable atmosphere. The top shot on tour this year was Jim Djouma and, as the pictures show , we also had some bowlers who did not do so well!
